Music
Faith, like all Lutheran churches, is a "singing congregation." Martin Luther wrote of the power of music to preach and teach the Gospel and once said that "next to the Word of God, music deserves the highest praise." In addition to joining the voice of the congregation in the singing of the liturgy and hymns, we have many opportunities for you to make joyful noise to the Lord.
Handbells and Chimes
No matter your age or musical experience, Faith has a handbell or chime group for you. Our youngest ringers participate in the Praise Chimes while our older children form the Joyful Ringers. Our Adult Handbell Choir is open to everyone with no age limit or music knowledge required.
Rehearsal Times
- Praise Chimes: Sundays, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
- Joyful Ringers: Sundays, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
- Adult Handbell Choir: Sundays, 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Choirs
Our choirs are a very important part of our worship life at Faith. Our Cherub Choir sings more traditional children's music, while our Youth Choir presents more contemporary, guitar-based worship music. Our Senior Choir leads congregational song and presents anthems on a regular basis, singing in a wide variety of styles and genres. We welcome people with all levels of musical experience, from singing opera to singing in the shower – all you need is a love of music and a desire to sing to the Lord!
Rehearsal Times
- Cherub Choir: Tuesdays, 6:30 – 7:15 p.m.
- Youth Choir: Thursdays, 6:00 – 6:45 p.m.
- Senior Choir: Thursdays, 7:30 – 9:00 p.m.
