In the Spotlight for February-March 2012

Birth Announcement - Congratulations and God’s Blessings to Andrew and Melanie Bourey upon the birth of their son, Lucas Braydon, born on November 18th. He was 8 lbs. 9 oz. and 21 inches long and is joined at home by big brother Andrew!

Baptism - God's Blessings to our newest member through baptism, Brooke Kathleen Decker, daughter of Steven Decker and Tara Galluccio, on November 20th.

Graduation - Congratulations to Christina Staszczyk for completing her student teaching in December and graduating with honors from Monmouth University on Friday, January 13th.

Help is needed to put together and organize a Good Friday Event for Faith’s children.  Please talk to Chris Ponsini.

Giving Tree - Thank you to everyone who purchased a gift for our annual Giving Tree event. This year we worked with two organizations to provide Christmas gifts for those in need in Hillsborough and Manville. As we have done in previous years, Faith partnered with Hillsborough Social Services' annual Holiday Gift Drive. We collected over 50 gifts for the 15 Hillsborough residents we sponsored.

Special thanks to Ginny Williams, Christina Adelmann, Alicia Chen, Cathy Staszczyk, Karen Van Dongen and Brenda Overcash for their help coordinating this year's drive.

Helping The Hillsborough Hungry - We at Faith donated 1,748 items to the Hillsborough Food Pantry last year! But now the need is even greater. More and more clients are coming to the Pantry – mostly because they have lost their jobs. So please give even more generously this year.

Especially needed at this time: tomato soup, peas, tea, coffee, and detergents (both laundry and dishwasher). Please place these offerings of food in the shopping cart in the narthex. Your Hillsborough neighbors thank you!

Jesus said, If God has been generous to you, God will expect you to serve him well. But if God has been more than generous, God will expect you to serve him even better. – Luke 12:48 (CEV)
