We are off to a running start with the Teens (7th - 12th grade) and Tweens (4th - 6th grade) of Faith. The youth are planning some events for our near future as we work each week to build a stronger program.

Watch in the near future for announcements in the bulletin regarding the Teens and Tweens of Faith and remember to check the Youth bulletin board in the narthex for sign up sheets and other information. With any questions, comments, or concerns, please contact our Youth Minister, Randy Murphy.

Confirmation is off to a Great Start!

On September 30th, parents and confirmands gathered for Confirmation Orientation. An overview of the Confirmation program was given, Sunday Morning Worship Involvement jobs were explained to the Confirmands, and the Confirmation teachers were introduced to parents and students. Randy Murphy was also there to encourage students to come out to the Youth Program activities. Afterwards, parents and students asked any questions they had. They were given a Confirmation Packet which includes how the program works and the forms students and parents will need to complete. Classes began on October 3rd and 4th.

Teaching Wednesday night classes are Marlene Boon and Carol Jones. Teaching Thursday night classes are Paul Telenson and Ken Van Dongen. So far, they report that classes are going well and students are responding positively to the lessons. I would like to thank these teachers for taking on this great responsibility and doing it so well. Without them, we would not be able to have Confirmation continue this year. I also would like to thank Pastor Wilson, Brenda Overcash, and members of the Confirmation Steering Committee for helping with the program. This is truly a team effort this year.

A reminder for students to return their signed forms as soon as possible - especially the Sunday Morning Worship Involvement Form. I hope there will be many students involved in Sunday Morning Worship this year.
