Faith's Disaster Response Team has been working to help our neighbors recover from natural disasters for the past several years. Most of our work has been recently concentrated in NJ but we have also made ourselves available to those in need of recovery assistance outside our state. Working through Lutheran Disaster Response, and Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey we have helped over 60 families recover from Hurricane Irene and Superstorm Sandy. 

Members of Faith have traveled across the state to help strengthen long term recovery groups by providing skilled and nonskilled labor, financial support and great humor in often difficult situations!! We have developed great working relationships with key providers of long term recovery in our state and have been recognized as a church willing to provide care and cleanup in immediate disaster recovery as well. 

We are currently working through Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey on monthly projects that are helping those affected by Superstorm Sandy return to their homes.
