As followers of Christ, Faith Lutheran is called to
*Serve Others* *Connect with Community* *Love Unconditionally*
The congregation of Faith Lutheran Church proclaims that all people are created in God's image and that Christ has made us one. We are therefore committed to working for justice and celebrating the dignity and diversity of the human community within and beyond this congregation. We welcome, include, and affirm people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions. We commit to work towards building an anti-racist society where racial equity flourishes. We are committed to amplifying the voices of marginalized communities while ensuring inclusivity for everyone, regardless of their position on their spiritual path. We commit to continue to grow in our welcome and embrace of all our neighbors.
A “Divine Encounter” is an everyday moment, experience or interaction that reminds us of God’s character, grace or presence.
This summer, as a community of faith called to Serve, Connect and Love, let’s be intentional about noticing God’s presence, and share our Divine Encounters with one another. Beginning on August 2, there will be note sheets in the narthex to write down your encounters. Place them in the bowl on the baptismal font, a special place where we meet God. The note sheets will be displayed in the narthex, and blessed during the church service on August 23, the formal conclusion of our summer Divine Encounter activity. Questions? Ask any member of the Long Range Planning Committee.
